不一样的National Day

Posted by Gloria Wong on 10:02:00 PM
Finally blogger allows me to blog normally + uploading of pictures.
Blogger has been giving tons of problems, so much so I'm contemplating switching to wordpress for good!

Anyway ...
I had a splendid National Day this year! Something different lar.
Went down ECP after svc with few of my cell members for a time of exercise!
I can't believe I rode on a bicycle for more than 1.5hours!
There's of coz a price to pay!
My leg hurts like mad the very next day! :X

@ bedok Jetty!

See the tiny tiny helicopter with our SG flag @ the back? LOL
of coz must zi pai abit lar. =p

Ahhh now u take a closer look @ our dear singapore flag! lol

We got to take pic with the REAL MACDONAL! LOL
I was like a child, running towards him and ask if I could take a pic with him

We were @ ECP mac for our dinner. That very MAC took part in the taking pledge together @ 822. So the whole MAC stood up and take pledge together & sang our national anthem. It was a classic moment. What a different kind of National day!

Moreover. Ppl from RAZOR TV came & interview us and TADA! We are on RAZOR TV! LOL

MY 7th Year and counting

Posted by Gloria Wong on 12:57:00 AM
1am in the morning. I should be sleeping but I had the urge to blog
I thought the day was pretty good, nt until the very last bit of the day
Everything starts to go down the hill
Right now, I guess any p&w songs, emo songs/encouraging words etc would just hit the right spot
and get me bursting out in tears

I just reminded myself to be strong, to brave the storm
Fighting back my tears, my emotions & memory kinda stuck @ the 20th anniversary celebrations
And tats the reason why I wanna blog

CHC 20th Anniversary

I can't remember how many times did I tear throughout the 2 service.
Many many aspect just touched my hurt so deeply.
I especially teared when the KIDS BAND led praise & worship it just blown me off totally.

Less than 10 years of age (some may only be 5 years old?)
stood right in front of a fully packed indoor stadium of not less than 14, 000 ppl, leaving their fears behind, they successfully led all of us in a time of praise. The innocence & their pureness of heart touches me deeply. There and there, it reminded me that we are all HIS precious children. In His eyes, no matter how big, small, young, old, bad, good we are always always HIS children

I came to CHC when I was 15 years old and that was about 7 years ago.
I was brought by my gd friend back in sec sch.
If not for CHC. I would not be where I am today
I will not be doing what I'm doing today

N28 & N307

N28 was my very very first CG when I step into CHC. There are the bunch of peeps that accepted me for who I am, taught me, help me to grow, integrated me, shared, listen & cared for me. Ruxin was my very first cell group leader. One who believed in me, trusted me & cared for me. Thanks for not giving up on me! =) I spend my entire youth in this CG.

N28 in 2002. Spot me! LOL

Getting my cert of christian foundation theology from PST Kong

Samantha, Ruxin & me
Sam: The one who brought me to church
Ruxin: My very first CGL

N307

There's a time for everything, and Its time to move on. Estella brought me to her cell and from there, I was integrated. Its like a big happy family! I love them all!

CHOIR MINISTRY

Being in choir was the best thing that happen in CHC. In this ministry, I have many opportunities to do a lot of things for the past 6 years, I never thought I could do.

The first drama experience in Singapore Indoor Stadium!

The first performance @ Orchard

Caroling @ Vivo City

Easter Svc @ Singapore Indoor

Our Church 1st Live recording album @ CHC JW

The dearest friend/sis I've found n choir.
Many 20 more years ahead! =)

And recently I have the opportunity to BV in my very own svc.

The QUEEN of choir. The shepherd of CHOIR. Belle!

Just too many more events to even upload!
Also, Wanna thank the many ICs, Idy, Jocelyn, Min Min, Valerie, Qiu Ru.
They trusted, believe, love & gave me tons of opportunities to serve, lead, to help out in the ministry. Leading a small team of choir members nt less than 10 ppl, when I was just barely 17 years old (I'm nv the born-to-be leader kind of person, it was a struggle, but loving & serving together with these ppl under me was the joy I will never ever forget)
I'm eternally grateful!

Some of the lovely girls under my care back then! =)

DIALECT CHURCH

It was yet another blessing & opportunities to be able to serve in the dialect church.
It was like a small extended family I have in choir
Wasn't that easy singing cantonese & hokkien songs. Learning the tune while trying hard to memorize the lyrics. But we've all done it!

The crazy dialect team!

The 2 shepherd of the dialect team.
Thanks for believing, never given up one me!

Shuyun! another leader of the dialect team!
Ever so loving, gracious, humble. There's just too many things
we can all learn from her! Thanks for sharing & listening!

The dialect retro night!

CHEC

I have the coolest teachers ever! Without them, I will truly not be
where I am today. Without their love & encouragement I guess I
won't even pass my 2nd Olevel!
